To address these challenges, the GCAP set out a 2030 vision that includes improving air-quality policy and monitoring, establishing a ‘Green City Awareness Centre’, implementing a new bus network model, upgrading electric public transport and developing road infrastructure, introducing energy management in municipal institutions, and investment in renewable energy.
Yerevan has since begun work on a number of investments and policy initiatives recommended under the GCAP to enact its green vision.
