The city joined the Green Cities programme in 2022 with the objective of identifying, prioritising and developing interventions to address its environmental and urban challenges.
It’s trigger investment project Timisoara City Trams, co-financed alongside the EU, will enable the acquisition of a modern tram fleet, rehabilitation of the tram line and supporting e-mobility, with significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
