Home to 2.1 million inhabitants including the largest Syrian population in Türkiye, the municipality will explore with EBRD the opportunity to invest in a solar project to produce electricity for the City’s own consumption. Developing a Green City Action Plan will allow Gazantiep to devise a step-by-step investment plan that will climate-proof essential services such as solid waste, water, wastewater, street lighting, energy supply and transport.
