The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) is hosting a multilateral panel featuring the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at the Spanish Pavilion during  the Smart City Expo World Congress, held in Barcelona from 5-7 November 2024.

As the leading global event on urban innovation, this congress brings together the most cutting-edge companies, governments, institutions, and thought leaders in smart city technology. On 6 November, ICEX will host a special panel focusing on the EBRD’s Green Cities programme. EBRD representatives will highlight the programme's key projects and explore how smart and digital solutions are being integrated into sustainable urban infrastructure. Areas of focus will include e-mobility, public lighting, water management, district energy, finance, and digital transformation. 

Following the panel, the EBRD delegation will tour the Smart City Expo World Congress and explore innovative solutions from Spain and other countries, with the opportunity for one-on-one meetings between exhibitors and EBRD representatives.
