Learn about innovative approaches to channel climate finance directly to cities, enabling effective planning and decision-making at the city level. Expect engaging discussions on the unique challenges cities face in their quest for climate action, and the pivotal roles played by regional governments and international financial institutions in supporting strategic planning and deploying a diverse range of financial solutions.

You will hear about the EBRD’s experience with the flagship Green Cities programme, supporting over 50 cities with addressing their most pressing environmental challenges through targeted investment, policy action development, stakeholder engagement and capacity building. Cities are responsible for over 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions and consume about 80% of the world's energy. This event provides a great opportunity to showcase climate action at the city and regional level and support local government spearheading climate action as key actors.
