Ulaanbaatar
Back
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s vibrant capital city, joined EBRD Green Cities in November 2018. The city’s rapidly increasing urbanisation and economic expansion has challenged municipal services to keep pace with expansion.
With a completed GCAP, Ulaanbaatar is able to progress with its green vision. The key actions identified in the GCAP include the construction of energy efficient social housing, rehabilitation of the district heating distribution network, and the development of a sustainable urban mobility plan.
Ulaanbaatar’s GCAP is supported by the Government of South Korea.
